The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan received the Ambassador of Hungary, Katalin Kissné Hlatki for the presentation of her letter of credence on 8th July 2025 at the Cotroceni Palace.
The President welcomed the new Ambassador and wished her much success, assuring her of his full support in fulfilling her mandate.
During the meeting with the President topics related to the stage and prospects of political dialogue, including those at high level, and of bilateral cooperation in several areas were addressed.
The President of Romania emphasized the willingness of the Romanian side to strengthen the constructive dialogue with Hungary, based on the Romanian-Hungarian Strategic Partnership, a fundamental element of bilateral cooperation.
During the discussion the main areas of cooperation were also addressed, such as energy, transport, IT, tourism, environment and climate change, education, demographic change, with an emphasis on joint projects to the benefit of the citizens of both states.
